Dr. Yancy Sipes

DDS, Creighton University School of Dentistry · B.S. Biology, California State University, Sacramento

I was born in Concord, California, and grew up in small town (Pine Grove, CA, and Sutter Creek, CA) near Tahoe in the Sierra Nevada mountains. I enjoyed growing up with lots of open space to explore and play outdoors. I attended college at Biola University in La Mirada, CA for two years and then graduated from California State University, Sacramento with my B.S. in Biology.

I married my wife, whom I met in high school, just before finishing my undergraduate degree. We then moved to Omaha, Nebraska so I could attend Creighton University School of Dentistry. We bought a small old house and enjoyed renovating it while attending dental school.

After graduation, we decided to move to the Seattle area to be closer to family. We settled into Maple Valley and enjoyed becoming a part of the community for 18 years. We loved the small-town atmosphere in Black Diamond and Maple Valley. Things changed in Washington and we decided to relocate to a free state. My family relocated in June of 2021 to Nampa to attend and work at Nampa Christian High School. I was able to sell my two dental practices in 2022 and reunited with my family.

We have two children, Ethan and Anna. Ethan is attending medical school at Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine (ICOM), part of the class of 2030. Anna is currently studying as an undergraduate at Boise State University while working with Agape Dental, and she plans to join me in practice here once she finishes school. I enjoy spending time with my family, riding dirt bikes, gardening on our property, and being active in my church.

Our name is our mission

In Christianity, the term "agape" means "the highest form of love, charity" and "the love of God for man and of man for God." The term necessarily extends to the love of one's fellow human beings, which is our mission here at Agape Dental. We aim to love our patients by caring for their mouths with their whole wellness and wellbeing in mind.

Dentistry that considers your whole health

Biological dentistry is for anyone who wants their dental care to consider their overall health. We treat your mouth with your whole health in mind, and we will work with your naturopathic or medical providers so your care is coordinated. We also aim to preserve as much of your natural tooth structure as possible while repairing damage or decay, which can reduce the need for more invasive treatment down the road. Whether you are here for a cleaning or a complicated case no one else has been able to figure out, you belong here.

"I have honestly never been able to say good things about any of my dentists until now! Seriously! Now I can finally say I don't mind going to the dentist. The staff and Dr. Yancy are the best and holistic! The price is even doable, not like these other over the top offices that really you end up paying for in the end. I have sadly had some really traumatic injuries from a few dentists so I would avoid going at all costs! Happy to say no more!!!! All good and no PTSD"
